Having navigated the labyrinth of power in a man’s world for decades, I am very familiar with the narrow swaying tightrope that women balance on as they embrace their power and take steps into their most fulfilling purpose. I have also seen how much power women end up giving away, consciously and unconsciously, in order to smooth and steady the way. However, our world is desperate for women to step up and offer their unique contributions to what they care most about – at home, at work and in the world. This is where my life’s work is. I co-founded, along with the Dr. Sylvia Ann Hewlett, the Center for Talent Innovation (CTI) whose mission is to drive ground-breaking research that leverages talent across the divides of gender, generation, geography, and culture. Many of CTI’s 25+ major research projects and publications have changed the global conversation in executive suites and boardrooms around the world. I bring these insights, combined with my experience leading cultural transformations at organizations to executive level workshops to review the strategies, tactics, systems and structures that need to be employed to help companies become “gender smart” and win with women – internally and in the market.

Carolyn on The Remarkable Woman’s Journey
My experience over many years working with amazing women is that there are many historical, cultural, societal and familial headwinds that hold women back, keep them from recognizing their full remarkableness, and create an ambivalent relationship with power and ambition. The earth, our societies and our institutions are crying out for a world that works for everyone. There has never been a time such as this that requires remarkable women to step up and offer their unique contributions to what they care most about.
To rediscover their destiny, women need to play together, for good. When women stop competing, comparing and criticizing each other and, instead, stand for each other’s power, beauty, ambitions, vulnerabilities and accomplishments, the world changes. Divide and be conquered was so “Last Decade”!
That is why I co-designed, along with the amazing Lynne Twist and Sara Vetter, The Remarkable Women’s Journey for the Soul of Money Institute.
