Carolyn Buck Luce

Carolyn is a gifted organizational strategist and leadership coach who has spent her career building highly effective businesses and teams.  She has been a leader concurrently in both the private and public/non-profit sectors for the last five decades. She is also one of America’s most respected and accomplished voices on Women’s Leadership and their relationship with power. She is using her proprietary Decade Game® to coach some of the world’s leading women to live their purpose and discover their destiny.

She has written for respected national outlets including INC. and Huffington Post, and has co-authored numerous articles in the Harvard Business Review, which have just been republished in HBR’s “Must Read” series on Women’s Leadership and Diversity & Inclusion. She was appointed by Mayor Bloomberg as a Commissioner of the New York City Commission on Women’s Issues and is regarded as a thought leader and sought-after speaker in the area of women’s empowerment, inclusive cultures and both individual and institutional transformation.

In 2012 Carolyn was named the Woman of the Year by the Healthcare Women’s Business Association and she “matriculated” from the global consultancy of Ernst & Young where she was the world-wide leader for their $1Billion Life Sciences sector.

The Whole Me

I have been reinventing myself since I was 8, imagining what I hoped to experience and contribute, decade by decade. This journey has given me the opportunity to be a Diplomat, Wall Street Banker, Management Consultant, Healthcare Futurist, Talent Innovator, Professor, Author, Philanthropist, Executive Coach, Wife, Mother and Mother-in-law of 11, and Grandmother of 5.

Our company, Imaginal Labs, is an expression of how my life partner, Rob, and I, can best contribute our talents- by helping courageous leaders find and trust their magic, and mobilize others to make a world that works. We are committed to our families and to living a life of meaning, purpose and adventure.  Whether facilitating in the Boardroom, climbing to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, or working with indigenous leaders in the jungles of the Amazon, we are life-long learners and will continue to bring our experiences to our work with courageous leaders.

My most recent endeavor is as the co-designer and co-leader of the Remarkable Women’s Journey, a six-month intensive coaching program for some of the most remarkable women today in business, civic society and philanthropy. In addition, a book is in the works – “The Decade Game: How Women Can Recapture Power and Purpose at All Ages and Stages.”
